Kelva Beach

 

Location: Palghar, Thane

Kelva Beach is located near Palghar, Dist. Thane. Kelva beach stretches nearly 7 KMS along the coastline of Arabian Sea, surround by thousands of suru trees and a typical rustic courtryside. Also known as Kelwe Beach.

Getting There: 

From Mumbai: 120 KMS.

From Nasik: 170 KMS.

This was our fourth trip to Kelva Beach; first visit was nearly 10 years ago. Kelva Beach is a great weekend destination for family fun. One can enjoy the serene and calm ambience. Kelva was unexplored and untouched but now the beach is overcrowded as the popularity is increasing.

There are few forts near the beach, one is submerged in the sea and another one is located at the northern edge of the beach.

Kelwa Beach is well connected by Rail and Road Transport.
